Presenting and "representing" at the Art Educators of Iowa's Annual Fall conference.I really feel like the phenakistascope is my "Rosebud." I want this to work so badly in my classes- but last year it was an abject failure. We'll see if I can make it work- maybe as an art club activity. I think it's such a great STEAM project- nice tie in with optics, physics, science, etc. This video really encapusaltes so much of what I'm interested in as an artist and also what filters down to my students. Monsters, mythology, fantasy, sci-fi, old-timey movies and animation. Love it. |
